Program Overview

Understanding and applying human capital analytics is a critical skill gap for many in HR. Skillful application of analytics can be the point of leverage to improve the contribution and stature of HR. This program will help you bring unique and substantial value to your role and to your organization through a deeper understanding of human capital analytics.

Increasing the value of an organization’s human capital is the major challenge for virtually every business, not-for-profit and government agency in the 21st century. We all face increasing competition, shrinking resources and disruptive innovations. If we fail to constantly add “human capital value” in the form of workforce capabilities, flexibility and motivation, we face an environment dominated by price-cutting and expense-slashing.

Human resources is responsible for growing the “soft” human capital assets, assets that are now the majority of the market value of modern corporations. HR is uniquely positioned to discern new ways to improve the value and productivity of human capital—and thus drive long- term success. And HR professionals are uniquely positioned to lead this effort. But positioning is not enough. To be successful, they need to think, decide and act as businesspeople, with the analytic tools, discipline and accountability comparable to other line managers.

Skilled application of metrics and analytics is often missing from the standard human resources “toolbox.” The analytics seminar is intended to fill a crucial gap in the training and experience of HR professionals, and to enable them to make contributions commensurate with their potential.

Numbers are the universal language of business. Human capital analytics is the application of quantitative and monetary analysis to people-related programs and initiatives. To be full partners in an enterprise, HR professionals must become skilled in the development and interpretation of such measures.

You will leave this seminar with a foundation in emerging methods to quantitatively understand, assess and demonstrate the role of HR and human capital programs in your organization.

You will be provided with a structured workbook to support your continuing efforts to build the HR business case.
